Saatchi & Saatchi currently maintains a hybrid work policy to work in-office three days per week and remotely the other two days each week. The in-office expectation is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On occasion other days may be needed based on client meeting needs

Job Description

  • Assist in the development, implementation and stewardship of media plans comprised of traditional and digital media including Broadcast, Digital, Social, Search, Radio, Out of Home and Sponsorships.

  • Manage the regional Media advertising activities for a number of Media markets across an assigned territory.

  • Provide support in preparation of client meetings and developing presentations.

  • Participate in designated client presentations with Account team members.

  • Assist Supervisor and or Director as needed, on any/all projects related to Client's business.

  • Develop Media Point of View as needed.

  • Serve as liaison to buying teams: communicating planning goals, estimates, authorizations, assuring accuracy/approval of buys and added -value delivery.

  • Develop and actualize flowcharts and related documents (budgets, post buy analysis recaps, other).

  • Aid with billing discrepancies, invoice concerns and budget maintenance.

  • Review Digital analytics and work with teams to create insights and optimization recommendations

  • Execute various market and media research/analytical projects.

  • Professional and courteous communications of planning to clients, vendors, and internal partners.

  • Participate in meetings with Media vendors.

  • Establish strong working relationships with Account teams, Ad Ops, Analytics, and Broadcast/Digital buyers and ensure that deadlines are met.

Requirements:

Some degree of advertising agency experience is necessary as the job requires a high level of understanding of advertising principles and agency functions. The position will require the Media Planner to build solid relationships with other agency departments (Account, Traffic, Planning, Buying and Finance) to help facilitate efficient day to day internal operations.

Some client contact will be involved and an understanding of the Client's business is essential.

Understanding of basic Media Terms and planning philosophy.

Prior experience in retail advertising and/or the automotive category is a plus, but not required.

  • Excellent math skills and ability to work with and understand numbers.

  • Must be extremely detail oriented. Timeliness is a must.

  • Self-starter, quick learner, and proactive.

  • Must assume a high level of enthusiasm and an outgoing personality.

  • Must be able to respond well under pressure and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication/written skills.

  • Excellent meeting preparation and Client presentation skills.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and keep Media Team properly informed.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word a must.

  • Knowledge of media resources and their application to media planning is helpful – Workhorse/Media Tools, MediaOcean/MBOX, IMS, NSI, MRI, Scarborough, etc.
