The Information Technology Application Database Administrator (IT Application DBA) focuses on administration, support, data integration, and report delivery for Optiv Security business management software utilizing Microsoft SQL databases. The IT Application DBA partners with managers to develop Business Intelligence that assist them with their daily business decisions; performs database change management; and performance tuning.

How you'll make an impact:

• Partners with development teams to design data management and governance protocols, manage the information lifecycle.

• Responsible for maintaining and refreshing Development and testing environments

• Support of the Optiv Databricks environment

• Support and administration of Power BI

• Database support, maintenance and troubleshooting in a multi-cloud environment

• Responsible for daily administration, database backup and restore, and disaster recovery of Enterprise System Applications

• Database administration responsibilities include maintenance and optimization of all SQL servers backup, restore, and disaster recovery.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Experience in Administration of MSSQL databases on premise and in Azure Cloud

• Experience in Power BI administration and support

• Experience in SQL Server Maintenance (backups/restores) required.

• Experiemce in SQL Server Queries (T-SQL) required.

• Understanding of SQL Always-On

• Hands on transition of MSSQL Databases from on Prem to cloud

• Experience in Azure Databricks Administration

• Experience Supporting, Troubleshooting and Maintenance of MSSQL database

• Understanding of Data Warehouses and Data Lakes

• Knowledge of Database security best practices for MSSQL databases

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.

• Experienced in ITIL Change Management and Incident resolution

• Excellent problem solving and verbal and written communication skills required.

• Experience with automating DBA tasks

Salary Range Description

$80,300.00 - $107,500.00 Annual

The Hiring Range provided for this role is informed by (but not limited to) various factors including responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, geography, as well as other market influences when extending an offer. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for these factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a variable incentive-based bonus plan. Optiv offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, of which salary is a component.
