Required to assist in the input, analysis, and freight data reporting of inbound/outbound shipments on a daily/monthly basis. Evaluate transportation assignment and reporting processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities: Coordinate and monitor all modes and methods for the transportation of domestic and international inbound and outbound shipments for both internal and external stakeholders Provide freight quotes, tracking information, proof of delivery and review and initiate call tag pickup requests and transfers Prepare international documentation to include, but not limited to, Shippers Letters of Instruction, Packing Declaration, AES and EEI Filings, Customs declaration information (COO, HTSC, Valuation, Tariff) and others as required by customer and country of destination Support domestic and international order processing operations by picking, packing and auditing to include the planning and loading of international shipments Research and resolve all freight issues to include timely and accurate filing/analysis of freight claims, chargebacks, disputes, fines, penalties, and invoice payment Document, monitor and report logistics disruptions within the ERP system to include root cause analysis and initiate cycle count tasks Provide support to Transportation Supervisor in producing monthly freight report, inbound container reporting, invoice auditing, claims tracking and resolution and data analysis. Transportation analysis functions, opportunities for improvement, cost efficiency of transportation modes, KPI generation/update Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed objectives Relationship to Others: Has direct contact with intercompany customers, transportation carriers & freight forwarders. Works with distribution center, sales, marketing, customer service, production, IT, and accounting personnel to plan, coordinate, resolve issues/disputes. Provides updates and analysis results to management. Dimensions of Position: Works with confidential information including product costs, sales activities, and company strategic plans Process the payments of transportation freight invoices that exceed $6,000,000 per year combined, inbound and outbound Education & Experience Education Minimum two-year college degree in Transportation/Logistics or the professional experience equivalent Experience 2 years' experience in transportation/logistics and warehousing operation Preferred Qualifications: Hazmat training/certification APICS Certification recommended Experience in claim resolution, disputes and chargebacks Forklift experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Live our Values of: Open, Cooperative, Accountable, Progressive, and Customer Centric Knowledgeable in domestic and international shipping requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF application Ability to learn current ERP system as well as TMS and container software Knowledge of complying with and coordinating USMCA administration in support of Import/Export shipments Working Conditions: Work is performed in a standard distribution center office environment Work is also performed in the distribution center environment to assist the shipping team to include forklift operation Requires occasional lifting of articles such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently This position requires walking or standing to a degree but will involve sitting most of the time with lon periods of computer work and phone usage Wagner is an equal opportunity employer and believes in equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.
