We are ready to shape a stronger future for our company and invest in your success.Job Summary The SMT Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role is crucial in the production process and requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and adherence to quality standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation:Set up and operate SMT machines including pick-and-place, screen printers and reflow ovens.Load and unload PCBs and components according to production schedules.Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output.Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs or escalate issues to process engineering or maintenance as needed.Quality Control:Inspect PCBs for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.Identify and report any quality issues to the appropriate personnel.Collaborate with quality control inspectors to resolve defects.Work with process engineering to identify and remediate issues.Process Improvement:Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.Suggest process optimization and problem-solving solutions.Safety:Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Documentation:Maintain accurate production records and documentation.Complete required paperwork and reports.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in SMT or electronics manufacturing preferred.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.Benefits401(k) matchingHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementPromotion opportunitiesClimate-controlled facilityEEO StatementSafari Circuits, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
