Clearly Clean Production Supervisor in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania

 

Summary/Objective: The main responsibility of the Shift Supervisor is to ensure all personnel are functioning to the most efficient extent possible and concordant to business standards. Requires work in a manufacturing plant, so it will be loud. 

 

Essential Functions 

Roles under this job include several tasks to ensure that shift functions without hesitation daily. These roles include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Ensure proper staffing is scheduled for the block of days the crew is scheduled to work. 
  • Monitor the quality of product and employee work quality 
  • Identify proactively potential issues that may arise and swiftly overcome obstacles before it affects production. 
  • Collaboration between shifts leads to ensuring smooth shift transition. 
  • Create bales when necessary.

``` - Stage rolls for roll change at the machine in the feed  - The general organization of the production floor including walkways and travel ways are free of obstructions or blockages.   - Ensure all employees are following GMP/Safety standards, including the use of hairnets, glasses, beard nets, and ear plugs.  - Ensure all paperwork is filled out by the end of the shift.  - Effectively manage staffing from shift start to shift end, which includes the following: checking call-offs at the start of the shift, manning machines to run as efficiently and continuously as possible given the current environment, functioning through breaks as efficiently as possible, including not interrupting production for breaks/lunches

Supervisory Responsibilities 

There are supervisory responsibilities in this position. 

 

Program Responsibilities 

TheShift Supervisoris responsible for the execution of the following programs: 

  • Start-of-Shift Communication -- Tier 1 & Tier 2 Boards
  • Support Daily Cadance SQDC
  • Start-of-Shift Inspections 
  • Equipment Cleaning Program 

     

*Work Environment * 

The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.  The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.  The noise level of the work environment and the job site can be loud. 

 

Physical Demands 

Walks, sits, stands, bends, twists, lifts, and moves continuously during working hours; is subject to lifting over 30 pounds; is subject to repetitive motions. 

 

Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position; the hours will vary based on your scheduled shift; minimum 40 hours per week. 

 

Travel 

No travel is expected for this position.
