Position Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with Human Resources Management and Business Partners in supporting assigned client groups. This position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, training, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, compensation, benefits, onboarding, rewards, and recognition. Also supports the Human Resources Manager in communicating, delivering, and influencing Human Resources policies and procedures. Supports operational and tactical issues for assigned client group(s).

Essential Functions

  • Supports implementation of HR strategies and initiatives in partnership with Human Resources Management to enable the assigned client groups to execute and achieve the business targets.

  • Assist in partnership with Senior Human Resources Manager on tactics with recruitment, people development, employee relations and retention issues.

  • May assist in building organizational capability and bench strength, ensuring the right people are in the right jobs. This will include participating in talent reviews, succession planning reviews, calibration reviews, merit, and performance management. Promote the Edgewell Values, performance management process and functional career pathing tools.

  • Serves as a change agent and consultant to client groups in support of the Company’s vision, mission, values, culture, and strategy. Supports client groups to ensure efficient and effective organizational transition. Serve as point person for teammates as it pertains to policy and procedure interpretation.

  • Partner with Talent Management to deliver against key objectives and initiatives that build capability.

  • Ensure legal compliance and mitigate the Company’s risk through having a basic understanding of most relevant employment laws and follow agreed processes. May track/monitor necessary information related to AA/EEO/ADAAA/I-9/STD, etc.

  • Promotes the role of HR and enhances the credibility of the function; works collaboratively with HR team members to proactively share best practices and processes.

  • Responsible for Onboarding process to include New Hire Orientation and development of Onboarding plans and accuracy and timeliness of entry in SuccessFactors HRIS.

  • Ensures a high level of accuracy and timeliness of the data or changes in data entered into HR systems including SuccessFactors on an ongoing basis. This includes, but is not limited to new hires, departmental reorganizations, promotions, retirements, dates for short term leave, etc.

  • Participates in or leads employee engagement, rewards, and recognition activities.

  • Performs employee relations counseling and investigations, as necessary.

  • Performs compensation analysis, exit interviews, leave administration, reporting, educational reimbursement, recruiting and staffing.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution.

  • A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources Experience.

  • Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to HR practices.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various functional groups within the organization.

  • Ability to work under pressure and use good judgement.

  • Strong work organizational skills with attention to detail and demonstrated abilities to prioritize workload and work independently.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Microsoft office tools experience includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Experience using HRIS and Timekeeping Systems.

Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Be aware of and follow the Environmental Policy and EH&S work instructions/procedures that apply to the job.

  • Perform every job safely, for the benefit of self, co-workers, contractors, and for the protection of facilities. This includes the use of required personal protective equipment and use of safety equipment as well as safe work practices.

  • Immediately report every job-related injury or illness, regardless of severity, to a supervisor or EHS teammate.

  • Assist in investigating incidents as directed by your supervisor.

  • Take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe conditions or practices.

  • Actively participate in safety meetings and training.

  • Review Material Data Sheet instructions before working with any chemical product.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

  • Colleagues are responsible to follow all established Quality procedures and instructions.

  • Notify supervision for corrective action if and when defects are found and/or parts/processes do not conform to specifications.

  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices (GMP & GDP).

Working Relationships

  • Key relationships internally will include Edgewell teammates, Rewards, Benefits, Legal, Payroll, Service Providers, Vendors, Auditors, etc.

Work Environment

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Work on night shifts and weekends may be required.

  • Exposure to conditions that may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $108,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
