As a Transportation Procurement Analyst you’ll be responsible for researching and growing our Logistic Service Provider (LSP) network to support our continuous growth. The procurement analyst will be responsible for sourcing new LSPs, managing and running sourcing events, and negotiating rates. This role ensures market-competitive rates and establish contracted pricing for key programs and lanes. The analyst will negotiate pricing from new and current LSPs, ranging from spot rates to RFQs for dedicated lanes. This position involves actively meeting with LSPs via phone, video, or in person to foster relationships and develop strategic partnerships. The Procurement analyst will also play a vital role in optimizing procurement processes and ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of logistics services.

The Transportation Procurement Analyst reports to the Director, Procurement and Optimization and may have the opportunity  to work in a hybrid or remote capacity; however, candidates who are available and wiling to work onsite at OneRail HQ in Orlando, FL (ZIP 32819)  will be given priority and preference in the selection process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and grow the Logistic Service Provider (LSP) network to address ongoing transportation needs.

• Engage directly with LSPs from the dispatcher level to ownership.

• Solicit and negotiate pricing from new and current LSPs, ranging from spot rates to RFQs for dedicated lanes to ensure market-competitive rates

• Actively meet with LSPs via phone, video, or in person to foster relationships and develop strategic partnerships.

• Execute and maintain procurement strategies and processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Identify and analyze the current network and source new LSPs to meet growing needs.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure transportation needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent experience

• Proven experience in logistics procurement or a similar role.

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish competitive pricing.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships at multiple levels within a complex organization.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Logistic Service Providers.

• Familiarity with RFP processes and contract negotiations.

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

• Understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
