POSITION SUMMARY:

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is currently accepting applications for passionate and motivated applicants looking for a challenging opportunity and interested in becoming part of FDLE forensics. The Senior Program Analyst is a core member of a small team dedicated to forensic recruitment and training. This member will maintain the forensic laboratory learning management system and support statewide forensic recruitment and training activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with teams to create and customize SharePoint sites and applications, making them easy to use and visually appealing; training staff on how to use these tools effectively, providing workshops and ongoing support;

  • Building interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports;

  • Serving as the forensic learning management system administrator;

  • Creating and maintaining documents in various software platforms;

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining forensic website information;

  • Maintaining recruitment and training activities, to include tracking and reporting of these activities;

  • Supporting recruiting efforts by ensuring materials are available;

  • Organizing and maintaining statewide training program documentation in coordination with the Quality Management team to ensure accreditation and internal requirements are met;

  • Assisting with continuing education and professional development scheduling and documentation; and

  • Other duties in support of forensic laboratory member recruitment, training, continuing education, and professional development.

    To be considered as a potential candidate, you must meet the minimum qualifications(s) listed below. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering, laboratory or administrative work.

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.

  • One year of experience in a SharePoint developer role using SharePoint Online/O365 is desirable.

  • Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

  • Any combination of professional or nonprofessional experience as described above and college education at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours per year can substitute for the required education.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of learning management systems;

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis;

  • Knowledge of FDLE forensic training programs and continuing education requirements;

  • Knowledge of up-to-date recruitment strategies;

  • Knowledge of internship programs;

  • Knowledge of the principles of onboarding;

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and other software platforms;

  • High level organizational skills;

  • Excellent written and verbal skills; and

  • Ability to work independently.

    BASE SALARY:

  • $54,690.24

    BACKGROUND:

    FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.     Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
