NBC Universal Senior Manager, Technical Services - Facilities in Orlando, Florida

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Manage maintenance personnel, activities, and budgets in multiple assigned areas of responsibility, including all labor and non-labor resources to maintain superior show quality and customer satisfaction. Support initiatives to continuously improve guest and employee safety.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all aspects of the facilities maintenance program within multiple assigned areas of responsibility, including planned, quick call, discretionary, and emergency repair work, as well as comprehensive asset life-cycle management. Develops and refines maintenance standards and maintains all OSHA and Universal Quality Standard.

  • Manage staff by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, performance management, and recognition

  • Plans, prepares, and manages assigned capital and expense budgets

  • Secure reliable and cost-effective contracted services via scope development, competitive bidding, and contract oversight

  • Establish and maintain relationships across departments to ensure highest standards of guest experience, show quality, and operational readiness

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent or technical school required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or technical discipline preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 9+ years’ experience of construction, operation, and maintenance management of a large (500+ acres) Theme Park.

  • 9+ years of extensive experience in maintenance management of a Theme Park or other relevant experience is required with 9+ years of direct supervisory responsibilities

  • ;or equivalent combination of education.
