Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description:

Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to assist in the intercompany function. Responsibilities include supporting consolidations, reporting monthly results, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, and supporting day-to-day and month-end functions. This role involves managing a set of accounts, interpreting financial results, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring intercompany transactions are accurately recorded.

Responsibilities:

  • Prep and review consolidated financial statements and be able to identify and research trends.

  • Prepare and review journal entries.

  • Conduct and document financial processes.

  • Interpret results using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via analysis to complex data mining.

  • Reviews JEs of junior staff for accuracy (including training and mentoring).

  • Owns, supports, analyzes, and preps assigned account reconciliations.

  • Assist with financial and tax audit.

  • Ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded in SAP.

  • Communicate intercompany charges with both domestic and overseas counterparties.

  • Preparing monthly reconciliation and confirmation of intercompany payable and receivable balances

  • Responsible for intercompany queries and resolving issues within stipulated time frame

  • Responsible for the monitoring of aging intercompany payables and receivables and resolving related issues

  • Initiating and documenting process improvements in the intercompany role to improve efficiency

  • Provide commentary to Supervisor on material intercompany differences on both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

  • Ensure deadlines are met and issues resolved as necessary

  • Participate in special projects, ad hoc reports, and cross-train with other team members

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills; Must have ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Must have ten-key calculator by touch.

  • Previous ERP system experience required, SAP preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years Intercompany or General Accounting experience required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA or MBA are a plus.

  • Must have ability to assist and develop continuous process improvements.

Job Type:

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1 Year(s). This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in ORLANDO, Florida and some days remote. The work hours are from 9am to 5pm in a business casual setting. Expect overtime during month-end close, which lasts 3-4 days starting on the 2nd day of the month. Initial training is conducted in-office, followed by a rotational schedule of one week in-office and one week working from home.
