LM-STAR is a critical asset that ensures high mission capability rates for some of the military’s most complex platforms and Lockheed Martin’s PBL program is its service counterpart that sustains station availability. THE WORK

The Reliability Engineer will support the LM-STAR Performance Based Logistics (PBL) program's sustainment. This position focuses on total system performance and will be responsible for optimizing reliability, maintainability of support elements, such as spare parts, support equipment, repair

piece parts, field service engineers, logistics information tracking systems, sustainment engineering and more.

WHO WE ARE

Responsibilities include leading Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations to discover Root Causes and identify corrective actions. The role involves supporting engineering investigations into issues reported by users of deployed systems, interfacing with various engineering disciplines (Software, Hardware, Field Engineering, etc.) to resolve issues. Additionally, the engineer will support investigations into Out of Tolerance conditions on test equipment, evaluate impacts, and prepare Impact Reports for the customer. They will also assist in engineering evaluations during System Testing.

WHO YOU ARE

• Strong background in the Reliability Engineering process.

• Experience supporting the sustainment of complex fielded systems.

• Prior experience and the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, parts structures, hardware/software/system specifications, requirements documents, and test procedures.

• Experience working with US DoD customers.

A level 2 employee is typically junior-career and has 1 to 2+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Reliability Engineering process experience.

• Prior logistics and sustainment experience supporting a wide variety of different systems.

• Experience working with US Department Of Defense (DOD).

Desired Skills:

Prior experience with electronic Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is desired though not a requirement.

Experience with Reliability Engineering / RCCA.

Experience with Fish-bone diagrams, failure trends, and 5-Why analysis.

Familiarity with ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 standard.

Familiarity with MIL-STD-1839D.

Strong analytical and data mining skills.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
