Siemens Energy Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) in Orlando, Florida

Ensuring that quality standards are met and exceeded by developing project plans, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Collaboration is key, as the QMiP coordinates with various teams to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards. It's a challenging yet rewarding experience that makes a significant impact on the success of our projects!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Monthly alignment of GCO project NCCs, coordinating with FIN and providing updates to quality data points.

  • Present NCC and Continuous Improvement updates across the GCO organization and management, as needed.

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement activities across the business.

  • Participate in NCC avoidance through QIS Coordination, RCA Facilitation (5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.), LL development, and clear communication of Continuous Improvement activities and results.

  • During project Bid phase: review quality items in customer specifications to identify quality risks, feedback and incorporation of previous Lessons Learned into bids, develop preliminary Quality Plan, review and comment customer contract, support project handover activities.

  • During project Execution phase: develop and manage Project Quality Plan, ITPs, CWPs, Quality Gates and project milestones, review risk register and support mitigation planning, identify and communicate LL, ensure quality NCC data, support Site Quality personnel and activities, compile/review final Quality Documentation packages for customer, warranty claim support.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, operations management, business, or related field; or combined equivalent experience (work/education).

  • 5+ years of industry experience. Strong experience in project / quality / improvement management, experience in power plant design/construction or equivalent large industrial design/construction projects.

  • Knowledge of quality management systems, non-conformance management and continuous improvement systems.

  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation specific to the Gas Services business (e.g., drawings, specifications, codes, standards).

  • Ability to take ownership and drive results while working with others in a matrix organization to ensure project success.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
