Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Prior Authorization Team hiring Pharmacy Technicians across time zones for a 100% remote opportunity. These Technicians will review Prior Authorizations for determination for a department that is part of a large healthcare insurance company. Responsibilities include approving or denying requests, and forwarding some PAs to Pharmacists for final review. The role involves handling all health plans and types of medications. The job is entirely computer-based with minimal to no phone work. Key tasks include processing prescription exceptions, resolving claim rejects, member and physician outreach, entering member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system, researching and resolving rejected insurance billing issues, and escalating questions regarding prescriptions to Pharmacists. The role may also involve assisting with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

This is a professional remote environment. Candidates will work in multiple screens and within multiple systems. Must have strong WiFi and a private office space with a closed door. Candidates will be monitored in the system, and prolonged idleness could lead to termination. Shift: Must be open Monday-Friday 8am-7pm in their time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks, and must be able to work holidays. Lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on team/business needs. Training will be 10-6:30 EST. After training, candidates will receive their regular shift. Must have WiFi, workspace, and a smartphone. Equipment including a computer, monitor, and headset will be provided.
