Job Summary:

The Clinical Triage Nurse Manager, under limited supervision, leads the day-to-day clinical call center operational strategy and success of a clinical contact center team supporting AHMG practices and teams with world-class consumer care, and first-class clinical phone care through the execution of AdventHealth's mission, vision, values, and service standards. The Clinical Triage Nurse Manager works directly with operations leadership, building relationships to develop and enhance the training tools and processes used for centralized clinical contact center teams, practice operations, physicians, and all managers and team members involved in a centralized clinical phone triage process. Additionally, aware of the day-to-day functions of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) physician practices and their respective managed care contracted insurance plans to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local standards and AdventHealth guidelines and regulations. The Clinical Triage Nurse Manager is responsible for understanding and carrying out all established policies and procedures spanning clinical care in a medical practice setting. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities through virtual settings. Proficient with practice management level tools and resources, including but not limited to AdventHealth’s software tools, including EHR, telephony, HR/timekeeping, and Clinical Quality/Risk. Serves as an EHR and telephony Super User to support Practice Operations, Clinical Excellence, and Provider Quality with analysis of data and results. The Clinical Triage Nurse Manager position is designated as onsite leadership to support the day-to-day functions and provide oversight of the clinical triage team.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Serves as the manager of the clinical triage team and other staff as assigned

  • Provides a safe and complete environment for the delivery of patient care through operational processes and protocols, inventory control and equipment checks. Corrects any known deficiencies

  • Works with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources in recruitment and selection, orientation, evaluation and performance management

  • Supports offices in a cost-effective, efficient manner assuring that all clinical staff meets the expectation of delivering high-qualify services in a safe, courteous and friendly atmosphere

  • Oversees clinical triage team, including orientation of new hires and ongoing team education and training.

  • Participates in the preparation of operating budgets, including salary and capital budgets. Maintains compliance with those budgets and the productivity standard set for the department(s).

  • Makes routine rounds in the practices and conducts meetings with the practice leaders to ensure that established clinical processes are working well for the providers and staff

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

  • Bachelors degree in healthcare

  • Current FL nursing license

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Two years of nursing experience

  • Must be willing to travel, from time to time, to various AHMG practices within the service line when necessary

Preferred experience/education:

  • Previous management experience in a group practice environment

  • Two years of professional nursing experience, physician office preferred

  • Call Center Certification (CCCM or RCCSP)

  • Specialty focused certification
