Description:
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Senior for the Program Manufacturing Engineering team. Program MEs are involved in a large amount of efforts and interface with many different groups of personnel. This role allows the opportunity to meet new people and learn some of the different task they are responsible for. Program MEs will work with vendors and provide onsite support when manufacturing issues arise. Being a program ME offers a lot of possibilities that will help a person grow professionally.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless development, transition, and production of ATWS programs across multiple sites. You will lead investigations into design, producibility, and process challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive solutions that meet customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Investigate, communicate, and solve design, producibility, and process challenges related to assembly/manufacturing
• Lead investigations across all functions of the product flow, considering unique customer and variant requirements
• Perform and support non-recurring engineering activities during product start-up, including:
• Affordability/producibility considerations
• Tooling and fixture design
• Development of machine automation programs
• Configuration of the manufacturing bill of materials for manufacturability
• Collaborate with vendors and provide onsite support to resolve manufacturing issues

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering
related field.
- Knowledge of electro- assembly, industrial
processes, technical writing, and teaming.
- A good understanding and demonstrated
application of principles of DFMA.
- Working knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma skills and ability to identify process
issues/opportunities and implement cost-saving
solutions (Affordability)
- Working knowledge of GD&T, and experience
with manufacturing processes, precision
machining/tolerances, and assembly sequences
- CREO (Pro-E) experience with a focus on
tooling, taking a concept through to final and
fabrication
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to
obtain a DOD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
Good problem solving skills; knowledge of robotics/automation; understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing and familiarity with LM Operations; experience with model based engineering utilizing digital manufacturing tools and applications; understanding of electro-mechanical/optical assembly, integration and testing methods; familiarity with LM applications (SAP, P2P, MPMLink, Windchill)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
