The community you’ll be caring for:
AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed community hospital, has been serving East Orlando residents since 1941 as an innovative local leader that fills a vital need in a fast-growing area
A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion project upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience
Annual number of emergency cases: 89,018
Your Role:
· Experience building communications or integrated marketing and communications strategies
· Effective news judgment and experience building stories or multimedia content for media, social media or other types of mass audience publishing
· Strong understanding of fundamental storytelling practices including research, interviews, production, editing and fact-checking
· Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex or operational information to all levels of staff that is understandable and engaging
· Proven ability to ghost write for C-Suite and develop thought leadership strategies, if applicable
· PowerPoint presentation building and delivery skills
· Thrives in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines, and handles long-range content planning with ease
· Ability to develop team member and physician events such as town halls or recognition ceremonies
· Ability to create or co-create visual communications for team members to include videos, flyers, digital display boards or screensavers
· Writing with AP Style
· Strong attention to detail across communication mediums
· Excellent problem solving skills
· Effective computer skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
· Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
Qualifications
Applicants must submit published writing samples with their resume. All candidates will be required to take a writing and skills assessment as part of the interview process. This role requires in-person support at AdventHealth facilities across Central Florida.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Experience building communications or integrated marketing and communications strategies

· Experience in managing campaigns or projects that leverage a sphere of integrated internal and external communications or marketing strategies
· Understanding of photography and graphic design principles, and working knowledge of tools such as Canva
· Working knowledge of various social media outlets
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
· Five years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, marketing or related field
· Experience building strategic communications plans across a variety of internal and external channels
· Experience planning and overseeing events (media, consumer or employee)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Communications experience in a corporate setting
· Presentation design and development
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· Current Florida Driver’s License
