EMSL Analytical Inc. Laboratory Analyst (Metals/Lead) in Orlando, Florida

EMSL is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst (Metals/Lead) in Orlando, FL. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees. Experienced analysts are welcomed to apply.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Preparation and digestion of environmental lead samples: paint, soil, wipes and cassettes by Flame AAPreparation and analysis of samples using ICP-OESKnowledge of laboratory safety and maintaining proper QC protocolsScreen and send reports Clerical duties including report generation and data entry of sample receiptCleaning and Maintenance/Calibration of lab equipmentCross train in other lab departments as neededRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, chemistry preferredOne to two years' experience working in a lab setting with FLAA and/or ICP is a plus but not required Candidate must be able to distinguish between colors in order to perform analysisMust be comfortable with sitting for long periods of time Able to work independently or with a teamAble to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignmentsMust have good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skillsAvailable Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For consideration all candidates must apply through our careers website: https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf02/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=EMSL&cws=40&rid=4323 EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.
