WSP USA Electrical/Building Inspector in Orlando, Florida

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Electrical/Building Inspector for our GOAA Site office in Orlando, Florida.

Your Impact

  • Must be able to obtain an airport badge which requires a criminal background check.

  • Attend required training and certification classes.

  • Prepares weekly reports, onsite electrical inspection, facility inspection as needed, be on site daily, be visible to the contractor and GOAA.

  • Try to anticipate the unforeseen, use your knowledge to control a possible bad situation. The contractors are working in an operational airport.

  • Daily photos are used as a Photo documentary of the site with daily uploads to your folder on the “BOX”. Please follow the naming nomenclature.

  • Attend weekly meetings.

  • When incidents occur, get to the location as soon as possible, make sure contractor follow the correct protocol/ document.

  • Performs related work as required or assigned.

  • Plan, monitor, review and work with the contractors to minimize disruption to GOAA's Operation. Works with the construction site or supervises.

  • Advises and practices and procedures, established guidelines, for completing job.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.

  • Minimum of 9 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience.

  • Works well in a team environment, demonstrates initiative, increased ability to multitask, adapts quickly to new tasks, increased ability to understand and set priorities, professional demeanor, sensitivity and discretion, and ensures all work is of a high level.

  • Valid Driver’s License and be able to be approved to drive company vehicle and drive on the AOA

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
