A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

The Cost and Risk Manager is a key function within the Sales Operations Expert Center Service Business team, working in a team of 5 professionals responsible for sophisticated modeling, risk management, and financial analysis of 60Hz Long-Term Program (LTP) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) projects in Regions North America and Latin America to enable LOA approval, contract negotiation and transfer to Implementation!

This position has a direct impact on the financial success of the Service Program business, as measured by Non-Conformance Cost (NCC) and efficiency metrics as well as overall Orders Entered for the Americas

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Deliver accurate and timely cost models, financial analyses, and RFQs to support LTP, O&M project LOA, negotiations, and contract transfers.

  • Directly support customer negotiations and represent the project calculation in Pre-LOA meetings, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Ensure parts availability for LTP and GT Mods negotiations through the Quarterly Parts Forecast, coordinating with product lines and key partners.

  • Collaborate with Service Engineering and Marketing Leads to integrate TLOA feedback into cost and risk models, ensuring harmonized methodologies across the distributed team.

  • Support the review, maintenance, and development of standard proposal documents and the Standard Proposal Tool for budgetary proposals, while engaging with the S4E workstream to develop, test, and roll out the Long-Term Service Module (LTSM).

  • Independently resolve sophisticated problems not covered by existing procedures, while advising sales colleagues on the effective use of ECSB support tools such as the Standard Proposals Toolbox and budgetary price configurator.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or other relevant technical fields.

  • Minimum 5 years experience with LOA procedures, cost analysis, risk assessment, and action planning, or experience within multiple Siemens Energy organizations through SMDP/EDP programs.

  • Proven track record in planning and implementing multiple large concurrent projects in cross-functional teams (including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Contracts, and Operations) and ability to interpret business requirements and communicate them optimally to IT, serving as a liaison for technical changes related to eFMT.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical clarifications to Marketing Leads.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Siemens Energy gas turbine technology, service and maintenance requirements, and procedures.

  • Strong experience with Enhanced Fleet Management Tool (eFMT), including an understanding of report structures, cost modeling, and resolving technical/system issues.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
