Description:
You will be the Communications Manager for the Air Dominance and Strike Weapons (ADSW) line of business. Our team is responsible for creating and executing integrated communications strategies that drive business results and support the success of the ADSW team.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Communications Manager, you will lead a team of communications professionals in developing and implementing innovative communications solutions that align with MFC and business goals. You will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, including the Vice President and General Manager of ADSW, and provide key communications counsel to drive business success.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Leading and developing integrated communications strategies to support ADSW business needs
• Building and leading a high-performing communications team that serves as trusted advisors and partners
• Highlighting the people and program performance of the ADSW team through innovative storytelling and content development
• Providing executive support and communications counsel to senior leaders
• Preparing business leaders for internal and external communications engagements
• Translating enterprise communications for the unique needs of the ADSW workforce
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support tradeshows, marketing, community relations, employee communications, and media relations
This role must be based in Orlando, Florida. The selected candidate will be required onsite according to business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Experience in communications, public relations, marketing.
- Exceptional communications skills with strong writing and editing ability.
- Experience in supporting and providing trusted council to senior executives; leading and developing integrated strategic communications efforts across internal and external channels.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Possesses strong strategic communications instincts, and multi-platform media skills.
- Understanding of corporate communications measurement, and how to use results to drive future strategies. Desired Skills:
- Experience advising and counseling executives and senior leaders.
- Experience developing and executing communications campaigns aligned with business captures and pursuits.
- Experience with integrated communications planning.
- Crisis communications experience.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in AP Style.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex communications challenges involving multiple stakeholders, functions and customers.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking and innovative storytelling.
- Knowledge of domestic and international aerospace and defense industries and Lockheed Martin products and business practices desirable but not required. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
