Description

We are offering an opportunity to join our team in the defense manufacturing industry located in Orlando, Florida as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor. This role will involve overseeing the entire accounting close process, and ensuring compliance with complex accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire accounting close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls in compliance with SOX 404.

• Lead the application of complex accounting standards, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.

• Provide oversight and guidance on all account reconciliations.

• Partner with business units to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions.

• Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports to support informed decision-making.

• Stay abreast of new accounting pronouncements and industry best practices.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA strongly preferred

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in a senior accounting role within public accounting (Big 4 experience a plus) or industry

• Proven experience with SOX 404 compliance and internal controls

• In-depth knowledge of complex accounting standards, including ASC 606 revenue recognition

• Strong understanding of defense industry accounting practices (a plus)

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
