Position Summary: Steel Fabrication,welding, and cutting using gas and electric welding and material processing equipment._ Essential Duties and Responsibilities_:Entry Level Welder:- Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties.- Operates or tends to Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), welding processes.- Uses hand grinder for weld preparation and finished weld profiles per specifications utilizing appropriate shop grinders or tools.- Operates material handling equipment and follows material handling procedures- Reviews job orders to evaluate and comply with customer Quality requirements as defined in the job order.- Able to read and follow shop drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations.- Lays out, positions, aligns and secures parts prior to assembly; drills (and/or taps) holes according to shop drawings utilizing appropriate drill and tap.- Records product identification on required paperwork for control and traceability.- Accepts responsibility and evaluates own work quality.- Performs tolerance acceptance measurement duties as required.- Records work completion and signoffs as required.- Assists proof (load) test operations and records test results on required document.- Reports failures to management for evaluation and documentation.- Demonstrates ability to participate in improvement processes and work in a team environment.- Questions, challenges, and brings to the attention of management any situation or condition that compromises the quality and/or safety of coworkers, the end user, or the property of either.Levels of Required Education and Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience:- High School diploma or equivalency- Minimum 3 months welding experience or technical welding trainingPhysical Demands:The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. Minimum Salary: 22 Maximum Salary: 22 Salary Unit: Hourly
