Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Orchard Park, New York

Description We are in search of a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team in ORCHARD PARK, New York. This role entails a variety of responsibilities, including managing payroll activities, administering the company's expense report application, and assisting with audits and regulatory inquiries. You will also play an integral role in the development of the annual budget and perform other accounting duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle, review, and post payroll and benefits activities each period and reconcile related accruals monthly

• Address and provide resolution solutions for all payroll tax notices

• Administer the company's Expense Report application, submit reimbursement files, and record monthly activities to the general ledger

• Prepare, analyze, and report on financial information, including revenue and expense, capital expenditures, and account collections

• Participate actively in the development of the annual budget

• Assist in managing audits and regulatory inquiries

• Perform other accounting duties as needed

• Utilize software such as Oracle and SAP for various tasks

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation

• Perform month-end close activities including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Proven experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Strong knowledge of Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to manage and maintain General Ledger

• Experience in preparing and analyzing Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Oracle software

• Hands-on experience with SAP

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• CPA certification is preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Experience with financial reporting standards.
