Job Description:
The Department of Pharmaceutics (PC) at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy (COP) in Orlando, Florida invites applications for a full-time, 12-month non-tenure track position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in Biomedical or Biomaterials Engineering (e.g., proven skills in tissue engineering, organotypic modeling or microphysiological systems development), the ability to work on teams and in partnerships, knowledge of microphysiological systems and stem cell technology in the context of developing complex in vitro models. Other skills of importance include ability to manage projects, communicate clearly (written and verbal) to interact effectively across lab-research partner boundaries, and ability to create a positive working environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 2D and 3D cell culture techniques, flow cytometry analysis, confocal microscopy and immunocytochemistry. Selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Rodrigo Cristofoletti on applying organotypic models and microphysiological systems to model disease pathogenesis and predict ADME-Tox for new compounds.

Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate is required to have a PhD and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience incurred during PhD or Postdoc. This work experience includes but is not limited to stem cell technology, 3D cell culture techniques, and organotypic modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in flow cytometry analysis, confocal microscopy and biomaterials engineering.
