job summary:

A Quality Technician is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Orange, CT area. This role involves inspecting manufactured products and incoming materials for quality, ensuring compliance with specifications, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the inspection flow in a production environment.

responsibilities:

  • Inspect manufactured products for dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and finish.

  • Ensure timely flow of products through inspection to meet due dates for external processes and customer deliveries.

  • Inspect incoming materials for conformance, review certifications, and issue DMR or NCMR in ERP system if necessary.

  • Perform in-process inspections during production.

  • Review certification packages for products and approve releases for shipment in the ERP system.

  • Maintain accurate and orderly electronic certification files on the server.

  • Assist lead inspector and department manager as needed.

  • Handle additional tasks as assigned.

Skills:

  • Flexible approach and positive attitude.

  • strong previous experience in quality inspection.

  • High attention to detail and consistency.

  • Experience with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and other common inspection tools).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

  • Experience in a smaller production environment.

  • Familiarity with Visual Measuring Systems (Preferred).

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).

  • 2 to 4 years of quality inspection experience (Strongly Preferred).
