Robert Half Field Technician Team Lead in Orange, Connecticut

Description We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst based in Orange, Connecticut. This role involves providing crucial technical support within the telecom industry, with a focus on Microsoft and Active Directory, amongst other areas. This opportunity offers a contract to hire employment model, giving you the chance to grow within our team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the work of other Field Technicians, ensuring the highest level of service is maintained.

• Frequent travel within Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, New York, and Maine, with the majority of onsite support provided in Connecticut.

• Provide face-to-face end-user support, stepping in when issues can't be resolved remotely.

• Deliver Level 1-2 help desk type support, acting as the first point of contact for technical issues.

• Utilize extensive knowledge of Windows/Microsoft systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Participate in Windows Upgrade projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.

• Leverage skills in computer hardware and configuration management to optimize systems and processes.

• Coordinate deployments and provide deskside support to ensure seamless integration of new systems and software.

• Train and guide Field Technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to upskill the wider team.

• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, maintaining the integrity and functionality of our systems. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar

• Proficient with Microsoft technologies

• Solid understanding and experience with Active Directory

• Familiarity with computer hardware and ability to troubleshoot hardware issues

• Experience with configuration management and system deployments

• Demonstrated ability to provide deskside support to a range of users

• Previous experience working as a field technician is desirable

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
