Description

Zach Robertson "Recruiting Manager" at Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant to join a thriving agri-business company in Orange Cove, California. This role will be fully in-person and will involve various aspects of financial operations, from preparing internal monthly financial statements to external reporting. As a part of our finance and accounting team, you'll have a chance to contribute significantly to our operations and gain exposure to different areas of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the team to ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closing.

• Create and enter journal entries as needed across different companies.

• Conduct monthly flux analysis to identify and analyze significant variations.

• Review and approve accounts payable vouchers daily.

• Assist with annual tax preparation processes, providing necessary documentation and information to support tax and audit compliance.

• Carry out monthly farm management billing.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliation.

• Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.

• Provide support for ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed by the Controller.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management

• Ability to handle Journal Entries and Month End Close

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

Requirements

• Role requires a Staff Accountant.

• No minimum years of experience required.

• Must have skills in Accounts Payable (AP).

• Competency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Proficiency in General Ledger management is essential.

• Ability to handle Journal Entries is expected.

• Experience with Month End Close is required.

• Knowledge of Excel

• Familiarity with Famous is a plus
