ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Regularly communicates with Customer representatives and relays communications back to other Matrix personnel departments, such as Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Quality and Safety.

  • Develop strong long-term relationships both internal and externally.

  • Performs system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.• Reviews NDE reports at jobs to ensure that all code and customer requirements have been met.

  • Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.

  • Supervise craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.

  • Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures and safety requirements are maintained.

  • Advise project management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties. Leverage their experience and understanding of all-around tank maintenance and construction to assist in resolving such problems, as required.

  • Ensure all company, department and technical policies, procedures, and standards, are adhered to. Interpret policies, as required.Perform additional responsibilities, as directed. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of seven (7) years or more in Above Ground Storage Tank construction including maintenance, construction and demo with three or more years as a foreman. Knowledge of refinery maintenance work and strong understanding for and proven commitment to safety and QA/QC policies and procedures. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook or willingness to learn. Knowledge of API standards (653) preferred with previous welding experience required. Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client/Site specific training. Must obtain and maintain an active status within the appropriate drug testing program. MUST have TWIC card.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Hiring range: $54.00.00 to $58.45 per hour
