• Pay Rate: $32.06 - $38.19/hr.

• Duration: 3 – 6-month assignment

The job essentials:

• Ensures purchase orders protect agency’s interests and uphold policies and procedures.

• Develops understanding of internal customer’s budgeting needs and procedures; provides pricing estimates for line items.

• Reviews requisitions for funding availability and account code accuracy.

• Reviews and assesses scopes of work and specifications; prepares Requests for Quotes and Invitation for Bids; evaluates bids and quotations; participates in evaluation committee meetings and may conduct vendor interviews.

• Offers input in developing specifications and scopes of work; determines appropriate procurement methods and develops individual procurement schedules.

• Negotiates and issues basic contracts and purchase orders; prepares basic contract amendments, revisions, and close-outs.

• Confers with customers to get information, resolve questions.

• Analyzes purchasing history of inventory parts, goods, and services.

• Determines or recommends awards of bids.

• Expedites purchase orders deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration and a minimum of 3 years of professional governmental purchasing experience

• Experience using Ellipse
