JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, facilitates the movement of material and associated paperwork from various departments/work areas to ensure efficient adherence to the production schedule. Ensures prompt staging of parts, tooling, paperwork, etc. to avoid delays in production. Checks routers and other paperwork for accuracy to ensure correct verifications, testing, etc. are complete prior to final quality checks and shipment. Resolves problems with parts/paperwork. Informs supervisor of problems or potential delays. Transports parts/supplies via forklift or pallet jack as needed.

This position is subject to ITAR requirements which require incumbents to be a U.S. Person (Citizen, lawful permanent resident, a protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(3))!

QUALIFICATIONS

Min 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a job/machine shop environment. Prior experience working with mfg. paperwork such as routers, quality certifications, etc. Sit down forklift certified (current or expired). Familiarity with MRP systems and reports. Basic blueprint reading capability. Ability to become forklift certified. Basic Outlook and Excel skills (more advanced Excel highly desirable). Strong communication skills with the ability to apply tact and diplomacy. Strong sense of accountability and willingness to take ownership of assigned areas. High attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to communicate with others, see, and operate a computer. Must be able to stand and move for a majority of the time throughout the facility on surfaces which may be uneven or slippery. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel or crouch to examine/mark parts. Must be able to reach, grasp, push and pull. Must be able to operate a forklift. Must be able to wear safety gear (shoes, glasses) for prolonged periods.

Typical office environment approx. 25% of time. 75% shop floor environment which includes exposure to working machinery, noise (under 80db), fumes, mist, oil, grease, dirt and some hazardous chemicals. Protective gear must be worn.
