Aston Carter Category Specialist in Ontario, California

The Food and Beverage Category Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies for the food and beverage category. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics to drive category growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Management: Develop and execute category strategies to achieve sales, margin, and inventory goals.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.

  • Product Assortment: Manage the product portfolio, including selection, pricing, and lifecycle management.

  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and terms.

  • Promotions: Plan and execute promotional activities to drive sales and customer engagement.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze category performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and execution of category plans.

  • Customer Focus: Understand and anticipate customer needs and preferences to enhance the shopping

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma required

  • Food and beverage experience (preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in category management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and category management software.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
