SUNY Oneonta Procurement Systems Analyst in Oneonta, New York

Exciting new initiatives in an advanced procurement management system has made room for a Procurement Systems Analyst in SUNY Oneonta's Office of Business Services. The Analyst will assist in analyzing current data and developing new processes for the implementation. This position will act as one of the projects leads and will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement system and processes. This role involves analyzing procurement data, implementing system improvements, and ensuring the effective use of procurement technology. The Analyst will work closely with University staff, SUNY partners, and software vendors to ensure optimum system functionality and to streamline procurement operations.The successful candidate will join a dedicated team, committed to serving the members of the University community, our students, and their families. To learn more about the University and the Office of Procurement and Travel, please visit https://suny.oneonta.edu and https://suny.oneonta.edu/procurement-and-travelDuties include but are not limited to:Review current procurement processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose potential improvementsCollaborate with stakeholders on integrating new procurement systems with other existing business systemsTest new features, upgrades, and integrations to ensure they meet business requirements and function correctlyProvide support and training to end users on procurement systems and processesGather and analyze procurement data to ensure compliance with procurement policies and identify opportunities for strengthening processesDevelop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and system usage to be used for decision making purposesContribute to the overall support of the Procurement Office including office coverage, customer service, data entry, record keeping, trainings, document review, and fiscal year end/start operationsSalary: $55,151. Information on SUNY's comprehensive benefits offerings can be found at https://www.suny.edu/benefits.Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeTwo years of professional work experienceSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organizationStrong Customer service experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience with procurement softwareExperience with project management principles and tools is a plusExperience with NYS and SUNY Procurement policies and proceduresExperience working with or serving diverse populations.

Minimum Salary: 55,151 Maximum Salary: 55,151 Salary Unit: Yearly
