Sierra Nevada Company, LLC Product Support Engineer III in Omaha, Nebraska

If you have an affinity for complex technical systems, excellent communication and product troubleshooting skills, and enjoy working collaboratively, we may have the perfect role for you! As a Product Support Engineer III, you will be using your skills and hands-on expertise to provide technical support and troubleshooting for our product and system prototypes. You'll be responsible for assessing our customer needs and determining the most appropriate technical solution for concept and prototype products and systems. You're technical responsibilities include product installation, testing, error/defect detection and correction, and coordinating the appropriate corrective action with engineers and operators.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or typically 6 or more years of related experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers

  • Communication and customer interface skills

  • Thorough understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems

  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally

  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment

  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on on average 45-60 days at a time

  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed location

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics

  • Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors

  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.

  • Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance procedures

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military

  • Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization
