Pipe Layer

$20 - $30/hr | Omaha, NE

Description:

A large underground utility company is looking for multiple laborers and experienced pipe layers to join the team as the work load is starting to pick up. The company is looking for a variety of experience levels.

Responsibilities:

• Performing skilled manual labor laying pipe in various sizes and configurations

• Making Tie-ins to structures

• Applying cement, mortar, tar or paint

• Sealing cracks (sometimes from within the underground pipe)

• Clear around pipe to make repairs

• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment of pipe

• Understanding blueprints

• Ability to finish concrete

• Ability to read stakes, set up lasers, and understand percent of slope

• Function in Excavated trench boxes up to 20ft deep

Qualifications:

• 1+ Year experience on commercial job sites

• OSHA 10 or 30 Certifications (will provide training if necessary)

• Valid Driver's License

• Own transportation to various work sites in and around the Omaha area

• Willing to submit to post offer, pre-employment background check and drug screen

Shift / Work Environment

• General Construction Hours

• M-F: 6:45am - 5pm. Saturdays as needed

• Overtime as Needed

• Large commercial construction sites

• Working on a team mostly, but also able to work independently
