Petroleum Equipment Service Technician

Job Description: We are seeking skilled and dedicated Petroleum Equipment Service Technicians to join our team in the Omaha area. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and/or mechanical petroleum equipment and products (e.g., Gilbarco, Veeder-Root, Passport, EVO).

Key Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on gasoline dispensers and related equipment.

· Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Point of Sale (POS) equipment.

· Monitor and ensure the accuracy of parts inventory.

· Analyze electronic and mechanical problems and provide necessary repairs.

· Install, program, and test new equipment.

· Communicate technical issues to customers in understandable terms.

· Present yourself professionally and be prompt when making service calls.

Compensation:

· Entry-level: $24/hour.

· Experienced with certifications: Up to $39/hour.

· Most technicians fall within the $28-$33/hour range.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

· Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

· 1 year of industrial maintenance experience OR

· 1 year of electronic experience (e.g., installation such as Spectrum) OR

· 1 year of industrial electrical or electrician experience OR

· 1 year of military maintenance experience.

Preferred:

· 1+ years of experience as a petroleum service technician.

· Certification in Gilbarco or Wayne dispenser service.

Ideal Backgrounds:

· Military experience, especially with fuel systems.

· Electronic experience (e.g., Spectrum).

· Electrical experience.

Maintenance technicians willing to work outdoors.

· 401K: Employee can contribute after 90 days. We contribute 3% even if the employee contributes nothing. After 6 months, We match up to 3%.

Work Environment:

· Indoor and outdoor work at gas stations.

· Flexibility on the type of service truck.

· Hours: Monday-Friday, 10-hour days.

· Dress code: Uniforms provided.

· Report to: Service Manager at each site.

· Team size: 2-3 per location.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $81120.00
