Robert Half Office Assistant in Omaha, Nebraska

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Office Assistant in Council Bluffs, IA, within the Manufacturing industry. As an Office Assistant, you will be assisting with project-related procurement, managing staff timesheets, and handling project equipment, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with project-related procurement, including communication with vendors and comparing quotes to estimates.

• Manage staff timesheets in preparation for monthly reviews.

• Handle project equipment, including receiving, storing, inspecting, and shipping.

• Provide administrative support during client meetings and assist with project closeout activities and cost/quality audits.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and navigate websites to perform assigned tasks.

• Contribute to Quality Control by ensuring the company's Quality Management System (QMS) procedures are followed on all transmittals issued by individual operation teams.

• Conduct document control functions for several projects simultaneously and provide QMS maintenance support.

• Assist with annual renewals of software licenses and other subscription-based tools.

• Aid in scheduling and coordinating regular staff performance reviews and perform other operations administrative tasks as required.

• Review all correspondence and transmittals for grammatical and aesthetic content.

• Data Entry

Requirements • Applicant must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial

• Proficiency in Data Entry is essential

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
