New Business Development Sales Executive – Regional

As a Business Development Sales Executive, you will represent GPI completely and successfully in all interactions with prospective and new accounts. In partnership with the broader team, you will uncover new business opportunities within your region and collaborate cross functionally to commercialize. In this role you will be responsible for creating long-term value for the business by finding and closing on new opportunities for growth and expansion. The Business Development Sales Executive will play an important role in driving profitability and expanding market share through innovation and market penetration.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to drive packaging sales, revenue growth and market penetration within your region.

  • Develop new and organic business opportunities through professional and proactive relationships.

  • Thoroughly understand the industry and GPI’s product offerings to effectively identify and target prospective opportunities in alignment with sales strategy.

  • Exceed individual sales goals to contribute to the organization’s annual targets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, S&OP, product development, marketing, and supply chain to ensure successful product launches and onboarding associated.

  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and prepare regular reports to successfully track and communicate sales targets and metrics associated.

  • Study and understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, to proactively adjust sales strategies and seize emerging opportunities.

  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key prospects, understanding their needs and requirements, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Highly responsive with a persistent, proactive, and results-oriented demeanor.

  • Subject matter expert with CRM software and MS office applications (Salesforce, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments across multiple company locations.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Required Experience:

  • Proven success in “hunting” and closing on new business opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably an MBA or equivalent practical experience.

  • Knowledge of the packaging and Consumer Products industries is a plus.

  • Required Travel 50%

  • Ideal candidate will need to reside in one of the following areas: Omaha, NE, Chicago, IL, St. Paul, MN, Kingston Springs, TN, or Sturgis, MI.

Pay Range: $88,600.00 - $118,100.00
