Associated Staffing in Omaha is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a cold storage facility. Job Details:

• Position: Maintenance Technician
• Location: Omaha, NE
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 6:30 PM
• Pay: $25/hour
• Benefits: PTO, health, vision and dental insurance and a supportive work environment

Responsibilities:

• Primary Duties:
  • Inspect and identify necessary repairs for processing equipment such as vacuum-packaging machines, mixers, grinders, patty machines, dicers and conveyors typical of a food production facility
  • Perform regular scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on facility and processing equipment including part replacements, oil and filter changes, equipment rebuilds and more
  • Respond to maintenance calls from the production floor, troubleshoot equipment and perform timely and efficient repairs
  • Perform general maintenance duties such as plumbing, painting, drywall, electrical work, basic carpentry and upkeep of heating and cooling systems
• Secondary Duties:
  • Operate equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand and power tools, welding equipment and processing floor machines
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician
  • Clean and assist with the upkeep of the facilities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Ability to understand and execute verbal work instructions
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally up to 90 pounds
• Work from ladders, rooftops, man lifts, scissor lifts and other equipment at heights up to 50 feet
• Specific visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:

• Exposure to cold temperatures averaging 28 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit
• Potential exposure to wet floors, damp areas and meat products including blood and fat
