Hub International Health Care Associate Consulting Actuary in Omaha, Nebraska

As an Actuary, you will work with our Defined Benefits/Retirement teams to provide actuarial valuations and analysis to our service teams and clients. You'll be the driving force behind our exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction, and have ample opportunities for continuous learning and development to propel your career forward .
Your job responsibilities as an Actuary:
Perform actuarial work for post-retirement medical valuation reports for both GASB and FASB accounting purposes.
Review and set annual company-specific healthcare trend rates and other assumptions for OPEB valuations.
Develop customized consulting projects, including analysis of trust funding/reimbursement policy options, retiree benefit plan design changes impact, and experience studies.
Generate contributions for OPEB funding policies, including Actuarially Determined Contributions (ADC).
Estimate employer reserves for incurred but unpaid claims and issue statements of actuarial opinion regarding asset adequacy.
Qualifications:
You are perfect for this opportunity if you have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience in an actuarial role.
An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted for minimum qualifications.
Working towards the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation preferred.
High integrity, good judgment skills, and commitment to doing the right thing for their clients.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team player with a great attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
Must be thorough, detail-oriented, and responsible for working with confidential information.
Ability to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines, and coordinate multiple projects and sales opportunities.
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license required.
