Omaha Public Power District Engineering Intern/Co-Op - EE or Data Sci -Spring-Summer (Jan-Aug) ECC in Omaha, Nebraska

Department: Distribution Operations

Location: Energy Control Center (ECC)

Duration: Spring/Summer (Jan-Aug) - 2025

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Pay: $25.06 - $30.63 (per hour)

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Distribution Operations Engineering and Data team to ensure the accuracy of operations data; Intense data investigation

Assist with system reliability studies

Assist with monthly reliability reporting

Provide real-time technical support to the Distribution Operation team

Qualifications

Specific fields of study required: Electrical Engineering or Data Science/Data Engineering

Required - Electrical Engineering student with Power Systems emphasis

Desired - Interest in Data Science

2.5 GPA or higher is required

Sophomore or higher college level

Current full-time student attending an accredited college/university

Technical Ability (i.e. software):

Desired -

Microsoft Office

Microsoft Excel

SCADA

Outage Management System

Electrical system simulation software (Synergi or similar)

Data visualization software (Tableau or similar)
