Conagra Director Procurement COE in Omaha, Nebraska

Responsible for building, implementing and communicating best sourcing practices, tools and processes to drive operational excellence, you will lead continuous improvement programs and elevate organizational capabilities that align with Procurement's overall daily and long-term strategic goals. You will report to the Chief Procurement Officer and will oversee the development, deployment, maintenance and compliance management of Conagra's Procurement policies, systems, processes and tools as well leading overall productivity, supplier diversity, automation, ERP vendor/material/pricing maintenance, systems integration, integrated margin management, supplier relationship management and risk management programs.

You Will:

  • Partner with buyers, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Sustainability, Research & Development and Vendors to lead innovation, renovation, cost savings and continuous improvement.

  • Assist buying teams in identifying and analyzing cost savings, quality, productivity and synergy opportunities.

  • Monitor progress against cost savings programs providing improvement plan support and updates to senior leadership on the latest opportunities/risks.

  • Advocate for expanding Conagra's supplier diversity program including working with buyers, national councils, minority owned vendors and providing Tier 1 and 2 customer reporting.

  • Develop operational policies, programs and tools.

  • Implement appropriate performance metrics including monthly reports and performance dashboards (highlighting achievements, performance gaps and improvement opportunities).

  • Lead the design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of procurement systems, automation, BOTs to lead efficiency and sustainability of best practice category management, strategic sourcing, SRM and operational Procurement processes (e.g. data analytics, reporting, etc.).

  • Develop strategy for Procurement technology adoptions, enhancements and developments (e.g. spend analytics, eProcurement, supplier collaboration).

  • Guide implementation and adoption of these important procurement technologies and supporting tools required to support category management, strategic sourcing, SRM, and operational procurement.

  • Build and manage spend, pricing and market analytics within PowerBI dashboards and work with pricing teams to drive margin.

  • Lead organization in the development, implementation and management of supplier segmentation and supplier relationship management program inclusive of supplier scorecarding and supplier advisory board.

  • Develop and maintain positive, productive, proactive relationships with several suppliers and company team members.

  • Provide procurement project management support to deliver complex productivity initiatives.

  • Be the liaison between Sustainability and Procurement to identify and lead corporate social responsibility including citizenship report and establishing external commitments.

  • Lead the supplier risk management process including credit, single source and cybersecurity risk.

You Have:

  • 10+ years' experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/R&D (including functional support to said areas like finance, project management, and IT) preferably with a mix of technical and purchasing experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Experience with procurement/strategic sourcing end-user expectations and requirements.

  • Food Industry experience desirable.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and tasks.

  • Experience delivering results in both a single unit and across the entire organization.

  • Experience leading successful teams and projects (team development, planning, critical thinking, team-based problem solving).

  • Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and conflict management.

  • Systems and technology knowledge (experience in PowerBI, eSourcing/eAuction tools).
