Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in Omaha, Nebraska for a Corporate Controller within the Agricultural Manufacturing industry. The Corporate Controller will have key duties such as directing finance and accounting functions, performing monthly closings, setting standard costs, analyzing variances, performing budgeting and forecasting, and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the development of budgets and forecasts, including monthly, yearly, and long-term planning
• Conduct detailed analysis of budget to actual variances
• Develop and manage the capital budget, and closely monitor spending
• Prepare and make recommendations for the Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets
• Contribute to the preparation of all required or requested financial reports
• Manage liquidity needs and ensure month-end closings are conducted in a timely manner
• Assume responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, planning & analysis, and defining countermeasures for the Omaha plant
• Oversee the cost accounting function for manufacturing and calculate standard cost rates
• Consolidate Capital Expenditure budgets, prepare business cases, and ensure correct realization of CapEx projects
• Analyze inventory, review inventory cycle counting process, and lead annual physical inventory counts as needed
• Implement Group Policies and Procedures at the local company level
• Supervise and develop direct reports, and interact with internal and external auditors to complete audits and tax returns
• Participate in special projects and provide financial analysis as required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field required
• Prior experience in Manufacturing or Production industry setting required
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role
• Proficiency in SAP software highly desired, but not required
• Expertise in Cost Accounting, specifically Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Standard Cost Accounting
• Experience in providing Financial Analysis and preparing Financial presentations for management
• Familiarity with Internal and External Audit processes
• Proven supervisory oversight skills
• Proficiency in Inventory Accounting and Inventory Analysis
• Knowledge of CapEx, Annual Budget, and Annual Operating Budget
• Proficiency in oversight of Month-end Close Activities and Month-end Financial review of staff preparation.
