Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the retail industry based in Omaha, Nebraska. This role will primarily revolve around managing invoices, maintaining customer accounts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects related to invoicing, including the creation and distribution of invoices to clients.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments by verifying the accuracy of billing data and revising any errors.

• Manage customer accounts and identify unpaid invoices.

• Provide customer service and support related to invoice-related queries to clients.

• Maintain and manage invoice logs and reports for future references.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline invoicing and accounting processes.

• Assist with monthly and yearly audits and clean-ups of accounts.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices.

• Match purchase orders with invoices and payments.

• Maintain documentation of transactions. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing and Invoice Processing

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle and SAP software

• Familiarity with QuickBooks

• Retail industry experience is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required.
