We are looking for a Universal Operations Assistant to join our team! The Universal Operations Assistant is a vital role for the smooth operation of the Association working closely with retail and back-office staff. Performing a variety of operational duties on a rotating basis with team members and providing prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Process and Verify Customer Account Maintenance including Card Services, Monthly Statements, Maturity Notices, Critical Messages and Customer Updates. Assist Branch Staff with customer inquiries and troubleshooting customer issues including Account Research and Account Fraud. Monitor, document and complete files for all disputed Wire Transfers, ACH transactions, Debit, POS and ATM transactions. Utilize fraud detection programs and work with branch staff and/or customers to reduce potential losses. Manage Return Items, Overdrafts and Encoding Errors. Process Exception ACH (Automated Clearinghouse) transactions and resolve issues. Review Dormant Account updates and complete the Annual Escheating process for Unclaimed Property. Verify and Process Domestic and International Wires. Balance Daily, Weekly and Monthly General Ledger reports. Process, monitor and complete Tax/Levies and Garnishments. Follow Document Retention Schedule. Scan and index documents into the archive. Other duties as assigned. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. Patiently problem-solve, research, and investigate data to identify sources of discrepancies. Work with supervisors and fellow employees in a positive manner conducive to a team effort. Exercise customer confidentiality and discretionary judgment. Read, write, speak, and understand English well. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Basic PC and Microsoft skills. Ability to learn new software and navigate database systems. Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Association Policies and Federal Regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High school diploma, GED, or equivalent skills. Prior banking experience, with one year of banking operational support experience preferred. Demonstrated understanding of support systems and bank operations preferred. Must be bondable. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS: Duties are performed in usual office conditions. Ability to operate standard office equipment including personal computer, standard keyboard, 10-key calculator and work a standard shift with repetitive wrist and hand movements. Ability to talk and hear. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally lift, move or carry items up to 15 lbs. Ability to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions. Requires manual dexterity and handling ability. Use hands and arms to finger, handle, grab and reach. Specific vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work may involve eyestrain due to constant use of computer screens. Oc
