Meta Game Studio QA Lead, OURO Interactive in Olympia, Washington

Summary:

The Horizon Team at Meta is building a social User Generated Content (UGC) platform where the world’s creators will be able to create their place, and enable their communities to connect, engage and play in all kinds of ways. We are driven to create a safe and compelling metaverse for never-ending exploration and games, and our journey’s just beginning.OURO Interactive is Oculus Studios’ newest 1st Party game studio, and Meta’s first in-house game studio dedicated exclusively to creating lighthouse games for Horizon Worlds. As a QA Lead for OURO Interactive, you’ll be at the forefront of shipping VR-best experiences for the ever-expanding Horizon metaverse.

Required Skills:

Game Studio QA Lead, OURO Interactive Responsibilities:

  1. Provide development testing support for the OURO design, engineering & art teams throughout development.

  2. Work with team leadership to create, implement, and maintain bug and testing processes.

  3. Engage deeply with the games in development and provide product feedback to developers.

  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure games pass Quest Store and Meta Horizon VRC submission standards.

  5. Keep track of community trends and feedback about the product and share recommendations with developers.

  6. Know deeply how our game should play and be a champion for a fun user experience.

  7. Oversight of the external QA vendors testing OURO games.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience working in video game QA.

  2. 2+ years of managing QA teams.

  3. Experience providing quality support throughout the entire product lifecycle, including design, development, and release.

  4. Experience working with Jira or similar tracking software.

  5. Proficient in developing test plans, designing and executing tests.

  6. Experience communicating with a cross functional team.

  7. Experience partnering and/or collaborating across multiple disciplines.

  8. Knowledge of current gaming trends, genres, and titles.

  9. Experience providing both qualitative and quantitative feedback on in-development studio projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience working with game communities.

  2. Experience coding in Typescript.

  3. Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university.

  4. Familiarity with Meta Quest hardware and software, especially Meta Horizon Worlds.

Public Compensation:

$59,000/year to $85,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
