The Assistant Director of Facilities reports directly to the Director of Facilities and is responsible for the ongoing development and oversight of the college facilities operations, maintenance, and planning. The Assistant Director of Facilities provides coordination, direction and planning for facilities operations including the inspection of college facilities, equipment and buildings to ensure safety and operational sustainability and compliance with various codes and regulations including ADA, Labor and Industries/Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act safety issues. The Assistant Director ensures areas of responsibility operate effectively within the policies and procedures of the College and applicable governing agencies including interpreting federal and local state policies and regulations. This is an exempt professional, non-administrative position and many activities are performed independently and with minimal supervision or approval of the supervisor.
