Del Norte Harvesting, LLC Ag. Equipment Operator and Bus Driver in Olivia, Minnesota

Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operator and Bus Driver to work at various locations in Renville, Stevens, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, Pope, Lyon, Redwood, Morrison, Stearns, Otter Tail, Cottonwood, and Swift Counties in Minnesota, and in Brookings County, South Dakota. From: 07/06/2024 to 08/06/2024 Work: 36 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat. 6 hrs./day Hours may vary. Possibility of overtime. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) a year. Must Apply By: 07/22/2024 JOB DUTIES: Will be responsible for operating the vehicles used to move crops on the farm. Must be able to safely operate the buses that are used to transport workers to and from work sites. Operate forklifts and equipment used to move supplies and harvesting equipment in the field. Maintain harvest equipment. The alternative work is truck maintenance and farm maintenance including the repair, irrigation, vehicles and various equipment and tools used on the farm. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months experience. Class A CDL or equivalent. Must have a valid and unexpired Federal Farm Labor Contractor or Federal Farm Labor Contractor Employee Registration with driving authorization. Able to provide proof of accident-free driving record and background. Must be able to reach, bend and lift items weighing 80 pounds. Must be able to work outdoors in dusty/dirty conditions, in extreme heat and cold inclement weather. Must be able to listen to, understand, and follow simple instructions of supervisors and dispatcher. Must be able to work in fields where ants, snakes and poison ivy are encountered. Must be able to work on your feet, in extreme weather, with extensive, pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. Pre-hire criminal background check at employer's expense. Possible random drug or alcohol tests after hire, at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
