POSITION VISIONThe Olean Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all work performed by warehouse and delivery personnel is completed to WBD standards.

QUANTIFIABLE POSITION OBJECTIVES1. Reports to work on time wearing a clean WBD approved safety apparel.2. Direct supervision of all drivers and warehouse personnel, reports all issues to Olean Regional Sales/Operations Manager.3. Ensures all deliveries are made in a timely and consistent manner.4. Back up driver if necessary.5. Handles daily bank deposits from drivers.6. Ensures all trucks are properly checked in at the end of the day; and returned product is placed in designated areas and reloaded on transfer trailers daily.7. Ensure drivers complete electronic pre-trip & post-trip inspections.8. Handles complaints with Sales Management.9. Responsible for initial and continued training of drivers. 10. Documents all incidents and accidents and assists Safety team in the investigation process.11. Works weekly with drivers on a work with to ensure all company procedures are being performed.12. Visits retail accounts when issues arise with drivers, or a safety issue needs to be addressed with retailers.13. Reports to Operations Manager and Mechanics any issues with the truck, trailers, and handcarts.14. Reports to IT Manager and Operations Manager any issues with Handhelds and printers.15. Maintains a safe working environment by ensuring the warehouse, equipment and trucks are clean and orderly.16. Maintains all special event equipment, cold boxes, and trailers.17. Ensuring all product is transferred and delivered in a timely fashion for all special events.18. Ensuring all inventory in facility is reported weekly based on cycle counts.19. Ensuring all outside facilities are maintained as needed. (Lawn, snow removal of parking lot, entrances and exits).20. Maintains point of sale area of warehouse, incoming and sorts by brands.21. Coordinates all POS needed to be placed on trucks, as well as stocking and maintaining storage shed in Jamestown.22. Approves weekly payroll and maintains weekly Payroll metric in SharePoint.23. Maintains Vacation and time off calendar for all personnel. 24. Conducts yearly reviews of all warehouse staff and drivers.25. Assist Operations Manager with OSHA compliance including fire extinguishers and eye wash station inspections.26. Maintains weekly accurate temperature readings in the warehouse and cooler.27. Ensures all battery fluids are maintained to proper level in forklifts and pallet jacks.28. Responsible for directing all clean up on shift.29. Foster a cooperative work environment with all departments.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Education:

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED. Must be able to read, write and comprehend English and have basic math skills.

  • Preferred: College degree

  • Skills:

  • Minimum: Strong communication, organizational and computer skills required. Good math skills. CDL Class A license required. Must be certified in forklift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack and floor scrubber.

  • Preferred: Supervisory, motivational, and good math skills required. Strong computer skills. CDL Class A license required. Must be certified in forklift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack and floor scrubber.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum: One-year experience in warehouse distribution environment Two Years as a Driver with a CDL

  • Preferred: Supervisory experience in material handling or beverage distribution. Experience in Safety and regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and stack, 1 case of cans (21 pounds), 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds), 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds) and ½ barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground; stand; continuous use of hands and arms to reach for, carry and stack product. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONSWork is performed in all types of weather conditions including extreme cold and heat. Exposure to broken glass and diesel fumes.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTSMust hold a valid, clean NYS CDL Class A driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
