Responsibilities

As an integral member of the Loan Operations Department, this position is mainly responsible for handling telephone inquiries from internal and external customers. Additionally, this role will review and complete research requests for all loan applications as well as process loan payoffs, and handling of Credit Bureau and billing disputes.

  • Handle telephone inquiries and research requests from internal and external customers (ie. loan payoffs, payment history requests, billing disputes, and interest calculations) and perform appropriate follow-up tasks including ongoing communication with the requestor
  • Handle Credit Bureau disputes within the allotted time frame
  • Prepare letters to customers as appropriate
  • Complete loan information requests from the government or other financial institutions
  • Process all return mail for entire Loan Operations department
  • Cooperate with other members of the department to achieve departmental goals
  • Other related duties as assigned or directed
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion
  • Provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Loan Operations Department and the bank in achieving their annual goals
