Basic Qualifications:
Education, Training and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree or equivalent in work experience preferred
Skills:
- Strong work ethics, attention to detail and proven organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Moderate computer and typing skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Word/Excel
- Good customer service skills
Experience:
- Two (2) to (four (4) years banking experience preferred with knowledge of the Bank’s lending products and services as well as a working knowledge of the required documentation for all loan types.
General Function:
This position will review, evaluate and retain several reserve payment structures by product and state. The Discounter will need to accurately fund or deny funding of installment loan contracts according to the Indirect Department and Bank policies and guidelines.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Enter and evaluate loan package documentation for accuracy and adherence to compliance and procedure
- Ensure the accuracy of contract figures, disclosures, signatures and documentation for the loan type and contract funding
- Identify errors in calculations and/or missing documentation; work with dealership for corrections and help maintain department exceptions
- Refer major loan violations to supervisor/manager for review
- Disseminate and process mail, exception bags and loan bag runs
- Manage logs and spreadsheets used by the department
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion
